Ceilings, beams, staircases and floors made in wood recovered from an ancient Bavarian castle.

This prestigious Castle is located in the heart of the Val d’Arzino forest (near Maniago, province of Udine). It has now become the headquarters of a company that creates photographic books of major events, including very famous people (such as the wedding of King Charles and Queen Camilla).

Architect Brandolisio, the author behind this major renovation, chose to furnish 800 square meters of flooring with antique oak planks from an old castle in Stuttgart. The owners had decided to remove the old existing wood, but allowed us to give it new life in this project.

This material was recovered and transported by expert personnel, restored and brought back to new beauty, as a focal element of a prestigious home. The boards have a thickness of 20 mm, variable widths between 100 and 240 mm and lengths up to 3m.

The floor finish, in compliance with the preservation of traditions and history, is waxed, spread by hand with an amber fragrance chosen by the customer.

I never imagined that I would experience such a satisfying feeling with this project. Preserving and reviving ancient oak tree from another castle!
