MFDesign can provide you with a regular or on-demand maintenance service. Regular maintenance keeps your new or antique wood floors looking as beautiful as when they were first laid. Extraordinary maintenance is used to restore particularly worn, stained, or damaged floors to their original condition.

Mf Design aims to ensure maximum durability for your parquet flooring, ensuring it retains its natural beauty even after installation. This begins with selecting the finest materials and carefully crafting the boards and panels. Specific surface treatments and finishes can be applied during production, after installation, or during maintenance.
Waxing is a commonly used treatment, performed with carnauba wax that gives surfaces a soft, silky appearance. It maintains stain resistance over time and corrects marks caused by the "shifting" of the wax layer due to objects or furniture being dragged. This treatment should be repeated periodically, starting by washing the floor with a neutral and disinfectant soap we provide. Then, the wax-based coating is applied. It is not necessary to have this procedure performed by a professional.
Oiling differs from waxing in that the former, being a greasy substance, remains partially on the surface, while the oil, composed of smaller molecules, penetrates the pores of the wood, providing great protection while avoiding problems with potential "marks" on the surface. Oiling requires the same type of washing as wax and a once-a-year application of a nourishing product to make the surface soft to the touch again.
In the event of woodworm problems on floors, ceilings, and furniture, we can also intervene on-site with permethrin-based anti-woodworm products.
The finishes we use, which corresponds to a maximum gloss level of 5, are neither shiny nor slippery. For outdoor floors in particular, we can provide non-slip knurling upon request.
The treatments on all our floors and boiseries, despite being natural, are resistant to stains from water and other liquids such as wine, coffee, and vinegar.
For floors that will periodically end up flooded, we design floorboard construction using sea-grade counterbalancing, waterproof glue, and board treatments with outdoor-grade products. This makes the surface completely waterproof while still giving it a pleasant "rough" look. For example, these floors can withstand Venice's high waters for years without suffering any damage. They can also be used on ships or poolside.

After the installation we also offer a use and maintenance kit containing wax, detergent, and instructions for use. These products, specifically designed to be fully compatible with the waxes and finishing oils used by us, will help you clean and nourish your wood day after day.
With the aim of making the after-sales service even more complete and satisfying, MFDesign has also thought about supplying a single-brush machine. It’s a small, lightweight and easy-to-handle appliance, thanks to which ordinary floor maintenance is even simpler and more accurate.
The single-brush machine is equipped with interchangeable discs and – especially in the case of large surfaces – makes applying or restoring wax easier and quicker, ensuring a professional result, without excess wax or streaks.
On request, it can be equipped with additional polishing discs, suitable for cleaning surfaces such as terracotta, stone, marble.
