The wood comes from farmsteads, stavoli, barns, country houses, barrels, beams, but also from castles, boats, piers and Venetian briccole (the oak poles used as moorings for boats).
MFDesign reclaims, restores and reuses old wood, creating certified products suitable for green building: floors, boiseries, false ceilings, roof trusses. They are treated exclusively with artisanal workmanship and organic, non-toxic products. The sourced wood is meticulously inspected, sanitized and used in production, recovering a product that is both noble and rich in history.
Antique wood and all MFDesign products are ideal for green building projects as they are in harmony with the principles of environmental sustainability.
The products are all FSC and PEFC certified, a label that assures their origin from sustainable felling. The glue used are free of toxic substances (formaldehyde and pentachlorophenol), the waxes used for the finishing of the boards are completely natural, with personalized scents derived from products such as linseed oil, hemp oil, sunflower oil, carnauba wax.
Wood, with life and history imprinted in its very fibers, is the raw material for the meticulous craftsmanship carried out by MFDesign's team. The more the wood lives, the more precious it becomes.
Finally, MFDesign provides sturdy packaging that complies with waste disposal regulations, ensuring product protection and respecting the environment. Only for deliveries of considerable weight and size, or for long-distance transport, a wooden case is used in accordance with the European ISPM15 standard.
