Patterned floors: artworks designed for uniqueness
From a simple detail inspiration can come. MFDesign's starts from traditional and historical elements, which can be transformed into new interpretations designed by our professionals or by the client himself, shaping contemporary or classic designs.
The combination of laying patterns, different sizes of wooden planks and unique geometries: coffered floors, European or French herringbone floors, dovetails or inlays.
The
traditional elements taken
from historic mansions
are the inspiration
and the starting point
for new
contemporary
interpretations.
We create unique compositions such as Esedra, where a contemporary interpretation is born from the artistic combination of the ancient Venetian Briccole, cut “on the head” and laying the round cuts obtained. The patterned floors can be made with antique or new wood; they can be sized and shaped based on the characteristics of the environment, for an optimal aesthetic and technical result.
Patterned floors are available in all our antique or new woods: they have the same board structure, with four tapped and slightly chamfered sides and female/female interlocking. The dimensions are made to design and the thickness can be 15, 20 mm or even more, the noble folder has a minimum thickness of 4 mm, the counterbalance is made of double cross-fiber fir.
The boards can reach 5m in length and a width of up to 40cm (also depending on the type of wood chosen), allowing to accommodate all design requests.
Brushing, planing, Elite and Class processes, saw cutting, waxing and oiling are the available finishes. The product also undergoes HP vacuum woodworm treatment in an 80°C dryer.
