The outcome was the organization of new spaces that encourage reflection on the beauty of the Here and Now, pulling your thoughts away from the future to a greater awareness of the present.

The concept of using, almost entirely, the saw cut finish, in this renovation, rose from the customer's request to lend both tactility and integrity to the project, which would evoke memories of family history.
It is for this reason the choice for a saw cut finish with a customized texture was made, achieving a striking and unique result.

The saw cutting process expresses the expert craftsmanship and innovative ideas, the perfect combination of tradition and the research of new styles.
Our skilled craftsmen have mastered the art of creating a distinctive saw mark texture, giving the floor authentic character as well as a sense of rich, warm comfort beneath your feet. Saw cutting is a technique used to reproduce the irregular incisions typical of the boards cut by the old carpenters' saws.
Using a special crosscut saw, irregular parallel cuts are created perpendicular to the board. The depth of the cut depends on the hardness of the wood and the tool wear of the saw blades.
For this reason, the experience of our craftsmen and the knowledge of the specific characteristics of each wood species are essential to guarantee the desired aesthetic result.
The final impact enriches the space by interpreting the personal taste of the owners. The surface processing enhances the typical grain of natural antique oak respecting its characteristics and transforming it into an even more precious form.
The project is made entirely of antique oak, recovered from old beams, which has life and history imprinted in its fibres. It is the raw material that arouses emotion in your living space.

Our work is not limited to the supply and installation of our products, but also includes advice for choosing the finish and for the personalized olfactory impression on each product. The boards are treated with a natural, amber-scented oil to heighten the emotion.
The MFDesign product is made entirely in Italy. During all the phases of the manufacturing process, the identification and traceability of the product are guaranteed. Certifications are also available for both the raw materials and the finished product.
